What makes the A.R.CA.D Foundation unique ?

There exist in France a number of reputed major organizations with largely similar objectives active in the area of cancer generally but none of them focuses on a specific area of cancer. The ARCAD Foundation deals specifically with digestive cancers (colorectal, oesophagus, stomach, liver and pancreas)

Although they account for 25 % of all deaths from cancer, digestive cancers have not been recognized so far as a major health problem calling for urgent action. ARCAD's founders, with their recognized experience in this specific area of medicine would like digestive cancers to be given their proper recognition.

By sponsoring clinical research and promoting the introduction in clinical practice of the latest advances made in research, the ARCAD Foundation will offer patients better hopes of improved care and eventual recovery.
